10th Annual Cool Wheels Car Show Benefited Youth Automotive Training Center

Prizes were awarded to the top three “Coolest of Show” entries

Following a two-year hiatus, the Youth Automotive Training Center’s 10th Annual Cool Wheels Car Show returned to Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach on Sunday, April 24. The community-building event supported YATC’s mission to give at-risk youth a second chance at success with all proceeds directly benefiting the students and graduates.

The 2022 Cool Wheels Car Show featured 1,129 cars, including antique roadsters, trucks, muscle cars and more. Trophies and cash prizes were awarded to the top three “Coolest of Show” entries, with Chevrolet dominating the field. The winners were:

  • First place: Steve Greene and his 1959 Chevrolet Apache
  • Second place: Bradley Bethurem and his 1957 Chevrolet 210
  • Third place: Jim Darin and his 1963 Chevrolet Corvette

In addition, Jim Pope was the lucky winner of an all-new 2020 Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycle donated by Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson.

Established in 1984 by Jim Moran, founder of JM Family Enterprises, the Youth Automotive Training Center trains and educates at-risk youth in basic automotive repair skills, academic remediation, job readiness and life management skills. The goal of this program is to prepare young adults who are at a disadvantage in their lives to become self-sufficient, productive, law-abiding citizens.

About the Youth Automotive Training Center
Established by Jim Moran in 1984, the mission of the Youth Automotive Training Center is to train and educate at-risk youth in basic automotive repair skills, academic remediation, job readiness and life management skills.
