Heather Bascome

Heather Bascome is assistant vice president and chief human resources officer of JM Family Holdings, a division of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. JM Family is a privately held company with more than $20billion in revenue and more than 5,000 associates. Rooted in automotive and united in its strong culture and core values, JM Family is in the business of helping other businesses succeed.

In her role, Bascome spearheads the Human Resources function for JM Family Holdings by aligning talent, culture, compensation, and benefits to support continued growth.

Bascome first joined JM Family in 2012 as a Human Resources generalist for subsidiary Southeast Toyota Distributors. In 2016 she moved to a senior generalist position with the parent company where she held roles of increasing responsibility, including manager of Human Resources and senior manager of People Strategy, before being named director of People Strategy in 2022.

Prior to joining JM Family, Bascome spent several years with Motorola Inc. where she first honed her Human Resources skills.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Human Resources Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. She resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband and their two children.
