Youth Automotive Training Center Class of 2022 Graduation

<p>Congratulations to Youth Automotive Training Center Class of 2022, the 43rd class to complete the program since its inception in 1984.</p>
<p>Youth Automotive Training Center presented Clark Ballard the annual Jim Moran Award. Ballard (pictured right with Executive Director Terry Routley) received this prestigious award in recognition of more than 30 years of extraordinary dedication to the school and its students.</p>

<p>The 2022 graduation ceremony was held at the Youth Automotive Training Center facility with graduates’ families in attendance and was also live streamed.</p>
<p>Each year, the Youth Automotive Training Center presents several special awards to graduates for notable achievements beyond receiving their completion certificates. The 2022 awardees are, from left. Kristopher Smith (Outstanding Attendance Award); Caron Sanders (Volunteer Service Award); Dylan Correll (Outstanding Attendance Award, Volunteer Service Award and the Jumpstart Award for excellence in automotive knowledge and repairs); Rolando Suero (Outstanding Attendance Award, Turnabout Award for making significant changes in all areas of his life); Akeem Edwards (Volunteer Service Award and a full-tuition scholarship to pursue further education through the Bruce Rossmeyer Scholarship); and Vidal Villca-Turcios (Outstanding Attendance Award).</p>

<p>Graduate Manot (Drew) Adelphonce displays the fully stocked toolbox that all graduates are given to use during the Youth Automotive Training Center program and then keep after they complete the program. Adelphonce plans to continue his studies in electrical theory.</p>
<p>Terry Routley, Executive Director of the Youth Automotive Training Center, presents Marquise Wright-Berry with his certificate of completion. Being part of YATC has helped Wright-Berry in many ways. He says, I feel accomplished and have a lot more confidence in myself and my goals.</p>

<p>Keith Myers (left) and Ian Knowles were two of the 19 graduates of the Class of 2022, here proudly displaying their certificates of completion. Both Myers and Knowles hope to establish careers in the automotive industry.</p>

The Youth Automotive Training Center (YATC), a unique nine-month automotive training program that provides intensive instruction and hands-on training in automotive theory and practical skills, recently hosted a virtual commencement ceremony to recognize the Class of 2022.
