Environmental Sustainability in Action
Decades before the phrase "corporate social responsibility" was coined, our visionary founder Jim Moran instilled a philosophy of giving back as a cornerstone of JM Family. He understood the important balance of aligning business goals with meeting the needs of the community. A natural progression of that philosophy includes accountability for our impact on the environment. Working toward becoming a more sustainable organization allows us to help create a better environment for associates, customers, partners and the community. Plus, it makes good business sense.
In 2019, we decreased associate water usage by 11 percent
JM Family recycled more than 7.1 million pounds of material in 2019

Working Hard for Our Environment
Over the past year, our associates and their families have volunteered 1,036 hours to improve our environment as part of JM Family’s What A Difference A Day Makes! initiative.
JM Family Celebrates Earth Day
Educational awareness and volunteer events are held annually in celebration of Earth Day.
National Public Lands Day
Associates participated in the largest single-day volunteer event for public lands in the United States.
