JM Family Enterprises Raised Record-breaking Funds for United Way of Broward County During Annual ‘We Give’ Campaign
More than 600 JM Family associates contributed donations totaling $585,208 over the course of two weeks
JM Family Enterprises, in partnership with United Way of Broward County, is pleased to share the results of its ‘
We Give’ to United Way campaign. More than 600 JM Family associates raised $585,208 as part of the annual donation drive which took place from August 13 – August 24. This is the largest amount of money raised in the 26-year history of the campaign and this year's total surpassed last year by more than $50,000.
“JM Family has once again raised the bar as a tremendous partner and community game changer through this year’s successful campaign, ‘
We Give’,” said Kathleen Cannon, President/CEO of United Way of Broward County. “Dollars raised from the campaign will create long-lasting, positive change in the lives of children, veterans and families right here in Broward County."
JM Family associates were offered an array of incentives for raising the funds, including raffle tickets for a chance to win an iPad Pro, restaurant and retail gift cards, a Yeti cooler and more. Campaign participants also had the chance to win one of two trips on the company’s yacht --
The Gallant Lady.
United Way employees kicked off the campaign by visiting the campus for ‘United Way Day’ and shared with the associates the impact they are making in the community with their gift.
“The results of this year's '
We Give' campaign proved once again, in true JM Family fashion, we exceeded our own expectations by surpassing last year's total,” said Colin Brown, Chairman of the Board. “For many years, JM Family associates have committed to making the South Florida community a better place through their support of this annual initiative. We are hopeful that through this contribution, United Way will, among other things, be better able to help struggling students, assist families in becoming financially stable and self-sufficient, and support our veterans as they re-acclimate to society.”
Funds raised from the campaign will be used for United Way of Broward County’s programs including financial stability, emergency needs, improving people’s health, substance abuse prevention, youth success and the veteran assistance program.
