Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, JM Family Enterprises, Inc.

Cheryl MIllerCheryl Miller is executive vice president and chief financial officer of JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a diversified automotive corporation ranked No. 19 on Forbes’ list of America’s Largest Private Companies. 

As CFO, Miller oversees financial operations for JM Family and its business units, which include Southeast Toyota Distributors, the world’s largest independent distributor of Toyota vehicles; JM&A Group, one of the leading independent providers of finance and insurance products in the automotive industry; Southeast Toyota Finance, a captive finance company for 177 Toyota dealers in the southeast; JM Lexus, South Florida’s only Lexus Plus dealer; and Home Franchise Concepts, a franchise network of home improvement products and services consisting of Budget Blinds, Tailored Living featuring PremierGarage, Concrete Craft and AdvantaClean. She also serves as a member of the company’s Executive Management Team, which directs the development and implementation of JM Family’s long-range planning and strategies for future growth.

Miller first joined JM Family in 2004 as director and assistant treasurer and was promoted to vice president and treasurer in 2006. During 2009, she left the company to join AutoNation, Inc., the largest automotive retailer in the U.S., where she was named CFO in 2014 and was eventually named the first female CEO of a publicly traded automotive retailer in July 2019. She returned to JM Family in her current role in January 2021. Prior to JM Family, she worked at Paxson Communications Corporation, ANC Rental Corporation, which included the Alamo and National vehicle rental companies and Circuit City Stores, which also owned CarMax. 

A community advocate, Miller has served on the Board of Directors for the Broward Performing Arts Foundation and Children’s Home Society of Florida and co-chaired the inaugural CEO Build for Habitat for Humanity of Broward County in 2020She is also on the Board of Directors for Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN, Fortune 100), one of the world’s largest food companies and a recognized leader in protein with more than $40 billion in annual revenue and 140,000 associates. She was named as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry by Automotive News in 2015 and was On the Radar as part of Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women list in 2019. Shgraduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va 

Miller and her husband reside in Pompano Beach, Fla.
