JM Family offers a variety of medical plans to keep associates and their loved ones on the road to a healthy lifestyle. Each plan incorporates free annual exams and biometric screenings, plus a prescription drug program. Part-time and full-time associates enrolled in account-based healthcare plans can also earn company dollars for participating in wellness activities throughout the year, such as cancer screenings and weight management programs. Dental and vision coverage is also offered to associates and their covered dependents, and plays an important role in our wellness program. New associates and their families are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following their date of hire.

The Associates Helping Associates program was established in 2006 to provide financial assistance to associates who have a partial or total loss of a home due to a man-made or natural disaster, or experience a loss of life within the immediate family. JM Family’s Founder Jim Moran began the tradition of free haircuts for associates during his early days as a car dealer in Chicago. He would bring in barbers for his sales staff to help them look and feel their best. The tradition continues today at Salon 185! The salon offers free haircuts and manicures to associates.

JM Family’s onsite child care center at its corporate headquarters has been helping young minds bloom since 2002. The 15,000-square-foot facility accommodates more than 100 children from 6 weeks old to age 5. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
