Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is the world's largest independent distributor
of Toyotas and Scions. SET is based in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
The company's vehicle processing facilities distribute cars, trucks and vans, parts
and accessories to more than 173 independent Toyota dealers in Florida, Georgia,
Alabama, and North and South Carolina.
SET dealers sell approximately 20 percent of all Toyotas sold in the United States.
Other divisions help maintain the company's market leadership: Port and Inland Processing,
Parts Supply and Distribution, and Vehicle Transportation.
Vehicle Processing:
Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC has two vehicle processing operations in Jacksonville, Fla.
Located at the Jacksonville Port Authority's Talleyrand terminals (JaxPort),
SET's Port Processing is a facility for new and reconditioned Toyota vehicles and is
consistently ranked as one of the top ports in the United States. With 60 percent of
SET's vehicles arriving via rail from various Toyota manufacturing facilities throughout
North America, and 40 percent arriving by ship from Japan, the facility prepares vehicles
for distribution throughout the Southeast.
In March 2003, SET opened a new $53 million vehicle processing facility in the
Westlake Industrial Park of northwest Jacksonville. The all-rail facility has the
capacity to process 150,000 vehicles per year, and in its third day of operation,
shipped a one-day record of 647 vehicles. All of the operations performed at
JaxPort also are performed at Westlake. At SET's Inland Processing facility,
located in Commerce, Ga., North American-made Toyotas and Lexus are
processed for distribution predominately to SET dealers in Northern Alabama,
the Carolinas and Northern Georgia.
Parts Supply and Distribution
SET is the leading distributor of Toyota parts in the United States. Located inside a
facility the size of eight football fields in Jacksonville's Baymeadows area, SET Parts
Sales has the best supply record of all Toyota regions or distributors, shipping more
than $2.1 million in parts per day to SET dealerships.
Auto Transport
Southeast Transportation Systems (STS), an auto transport company, was
founded by SET in July 2000. STS has a growing fleet of trucks that transported
more than 10,000 vehicles in 2006 to dealers from SET's Jacksonville, Fla. and
Commerce, Ga. processing centers.
